The Festive Season is here already! And aren’t we all excited about it? This is the time when shopping to your heart’s content and stocking your wardrobe with beautiful finds is indulged in with much enthusiasm. However, for some of us, the task can be quite daunting. The search for the new, unseen and untried seems ceaseless and at times disappointing. How we all love to put our best foot forward with our head-turning outfits during the Festive Season! For such discerning shoppers and designer label enthusiasts, I bring to you, Suruchi Parakh.

For those of you who read my blogs regularly, it must vividly come to your mind, the stunning Suruchi Parakh creation of a high-low jacket kurta I had previously featured. Simple yet eye-catching, her newest collection has Festive written all over it! Take my word for it. If you are done with the tried and tested mainstream outfits and designs, Suruchi Parakh has a new leaf for you to draw and add exclusivity to your wardrobe. Not to forget your festive celebrations!
Suruchi Parakh’s designs are a creative amalgamation of modernity and traditional Indian aesthetics. Although a contemporary look is the goal, it does not come without being loyal to the traditional Indian way of creating designs. The result is nothing short of gaining the best of both worlds, east and west. I am featuring 3 of her outfits here; each suited to a unique occasion.
The first is an all-peach outfit comprising of a short, minimal flared kurta with well-fitted pants. What is unique about this outfit is, its monochrome appearance accentuated with heavy embroidery and intricate detailing of pearl and thread work. This is what lends a character to this fine outfit. Perfectly accompanying it is this satin olive scarf with pearl work and bi-coloured tassels (olive and peach) for a playful look.
The second outfit is another peach number and my personal favourite! Maxi dresses are my weakness and Suruchi Parakh spoils me for it! This beautiful flowy dress is another simple and elegant creation. Single coloured with a vibrant peach, it is adorned with large, edgy and fascinating motifs on the bottom half. Thanks to the internal layering of cancun (net), this dress bears a stunning full flare right till the edge. The light pearl work around the neckline adds a touch of elegance. Perfect for cocktail parties, you will not miss being the centre of attraction at any occasion with this one. Head-turning and drop-dead gorgeous, this maxi-dress is as dreamy as it can get.
Are you in over your head trying to find that perfect outfit for your best friend’s wedding? Then give this third outfit a look. True to Suruchi Parakh’s philosophy of merging two trends of east & west, this is an ensemble of an electric crimson crop top and a floral lehenga, for contrasting effect, reminiscent of Victorian floral design. I am in love with the pretty and never-before-seen kind of embroidery work on the crop top, with motifs equidistantly placed against the bright pink canvas. Another amazing part of the lehenga is the large pink floral tassels dangling down from the waist. They add a pop of colour to the light coloured lehenga. Here I have paired the outfit with a net dupatta and accessorized with chunky traditional jewellery. A ready to don, Indo-Western look for any special occassion.
Such is the vibrancy of Suruchi Parakh’s collection. Such are the creations that are manifested when the old is infused with the new. This festive season, I recommend that you explore their beautiful collection and make way for one of their creations in your wardrobe.
