Imagine swimming in a pool that appears to have no end. Its water stretching to the illusion of limitless boundaries. Calling out to you on the other side is a view of the sunset into a lush green valley. Meet the infinity pool at Le Meridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa. A dip in this pool is equivalent to soaking in luxury.
After a hectic work week, this was just the kind of get-away I needed. Witnessing the fading orange light of the sunset, entering from an end flanked by pillars and arches, as you splash away in their infinity pool is an experience unmatched. At the same time, you see the dense and lush green valley and a row of mountains slowly recede into a sombre night. It’s a ticket to surreal world and those who follow my twitter account with some extra subscribers from Pistachio Consulting were lucky enough to enjoy this experience with me, as I’ve been steadily sharing pictures on my profile .
The architecture here is evident of the Contemporary meets Vintage style. The yellow walls with engraved ivory arches and window frames are a sight to sore eyes. By now, it has been well established that the property is surrounded with an evergreen valley. Imagine what a view that makes for a room. Laying back and relaxing in the sit-out balcony with nothing to look at but greenery is one of the best experiences you can pamper yourself with here. Ditto for their outdoor restaurant! A dining experience impossible to find in the congested urban setting. The indoors are pretty with intricate chandeliers and a classy modern decor.
The Le Meridien Mahabaleshwar does every bit of justice to its hill station location. Beating the current weather odds, there’s never a ‘too warm’ moment here as the shade from the abundant trees inside the property keep you cool. What’s more? A completely kid-friendly property, there are plenty of activities for kids to have a ball of a time.
A stay at this beautiful property is nothing short of mesmerizing. Highly recommended if you are looking for some luxurious me-time!
